went to romp at zouk yesterday. I wasted my 16 bucks.
when alicia and i arrived at zouk, there was this long queue.. yea we actually had to queue cos the bouncers were checking ID. those below 16 got bounced out although it was a non-alcohol party. so there was another queue forming for those who were getting bounced out. quite funny actually. so ppl were desperately trying to sell of their tickets.so I q-ed with alicia and we just chatted (as usual) and scrutinised other girls skirts..and guess who we saw?! ANDREA (not chow) from SC3 and SUYIN!!! haha! I was super duper shocked. cos i never expected suyin to be at a club of all places. so they cut the q and joined us, together with suyins cousins. as we neared the head of the queue, I started panicking cos Nicholas Liang hadnt arrived with our pre-sale tickets yet. and when he finally did arrive, I couldnt find him. so we had to find each other using the "raising hands up in the air so u can see me" method. he looks very different now. he was like a mini businessman selling tickets to ppl. luckily i managed to sell the ticket that liru ordeed if not we would have had to fork out an additional 16 bucks.
so we finally got into zouk at 10pm. the bouncers are fierce lol. the guy who checked my id looked at my photo very cynically... like he wanted to laugh.. yes yes i know i look crappy in my ic. the checks were quite stringent though. the bouncers checked all the bags and checked the guys pockets too.. the interior of zouk is nice. all nice chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. and the air-con is freakin cold. and the toilets are cool. you know that econs worksheet we did during econs tutorial on the "ROYAL FLUSH"? They actually have a toilet attendant inside!!!!! oh and they dont have sinks inside the toilet. funny concept. their sinks are located outside the toilets. oh the toilet doors suck. I have two deep gashes on my feet from the toilet doors when they scraped against my feet. and they still sting. andreas phone got pickpocketed. luckily it wasnt that expensive/
frm 10pm to 11pm I had to sit through a boring dance competition. which featured 7 grps of dancers. i bet they just staged it cos singtel was a prize sponsor.and then sheik haikel came on to rap. i think ppl were getting pretty impatient by then. because it was 11pm and they still hadnt opened the dancefloor.and i saw this girl trying to climb over the barricade.
meanwhile i saw sharon, andrea and steffi. oh and a whole lot of other ac ppl.
then i had to go off at 11.10pm, just when they opened the dance floor... i think they had professional dancers dancing too.
