i got my uni on saturday. i wanted to get my skirt in XL but in the end I got my skirt in M. cos my mum didnt wanna get me a skirt in L. she said I was being ridiculous etc etc. haha. i told her that everyone wears their skirt on their hips and shes like :"why be like everyone?!". so in the end I got an M. I think i can wear it at my hips though. there were these two other acjc j1 girls at the bibi and baba shop. one was quite fat and the other was around my size i think. and both of them got L. while i was insisting on getting L, my mum was like, look those 2 girls are getting L and theyre bigger size than you! i was super embarrassed lah.. i'm quite sure they heard. thank goodness im low profile and i've only seen one of them b4. after that, in my haste to get out of the shop, i decided on a M.
i shld have just gotten my uni from the school bookshop. altering at bibi and baba takes 7 days! so my mum got my skirts altered at this place somewhere in zion road. the premise looks really old, and the tailors are the old fashioned kind. there were 3 tailors, all female. one had hevaily tattooed eyelids and eyebrows. I dislike people with heavily tattooed eyelids and eyebrows. i've noticed a trend.. people with heavily tattooed eyelids and eyebrows usually diss you when u ask them to donate a few cents during flag day. I guess its cos they need the money to further enhance their features.
so i wanted my skirt slightly above my knee. just slightly. (i bet my skirts long by ac standards) and the three tailors exclaimed in unison "hah, so short?!" and it wasnt even short. in fact, my st margs uni is shorter. and cos there wasnt a nice long mirror, i cldnt see where exactly the skirt wld end. so i changed the length wanted my skirt to be altered abt 3 times. and the heavily tatooed eyelid woman said in chinese " aiyah, youngsters are so troublesome!" so much for our good service campaign. what happened to "GREET, SMILe and THANK". one of them actually told me that she didnt believe me when I told her that most of the jc girls wear their skirts this length.
went to fortune centre today. witnessed a couple quarelling with the salesgirl. it was super entertaining, and this crowd (including me) started gathering around the shop. my mum pulled me away, but later curiosity got the better of me and i crept back to the shop with my bro and great grandmother. anyway, i really wanted to know what electromagnetic imaging (for 5 bucks!!!!!)was all abt. i asked my greatgrandma abt it. she started telling me abt the electromagnetic imaging, when she was accosted by the female half of the couple who said: aunty ah, ni bu yao qu zhi jian dian. ta men she pian qin de. ni zhi dao ma, " etc et. it was exactly like sth from a tv show.
